NCCC COVER (2022)

North Carolina Community Colleges host an annual statewide competition to design the cover for their meeting program, The North Carolina Community College System Conference. I took inspiration from previous cover submissions that included graduate photos and decorative text, creating my own version that drew from those elements. I used a combination of illustration and imagery provided by Pexels to achieve my final design that promoted the “Great 58” – the number of community colleges in North Carolina – while it celebrated students from those colleges. I won as a finalist in the competition, and my design was the back cover while the design from my colleague, Bethany Moore, was featured as the front cover. We became the first graphic design students at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College to be featured in the front and back cover of NCCC’s magazine.
